As a parent and homeowner, Heather will be a tireless advocate on behalf of the community, ensuring that all children can achieve academic excellence in safe environments.  Heather believes strongly in fiscal responsibility and will see that our tax dollars are managed and spent wisely by the district.   

A top-performing school district will help attract new families and businesses to Pittsburgh. For Better Schools and a Better Pittsburgh, vote Heather Arnet for School Board Director on May 15!

Community Leadership
Heather serves on several non-profit boards and understands the need to implement best practices for board governance and budget management. She has learned these principles through her volunteer work with:

Heather Arnet is a community leader, activist, and mother.  A Pittsburgh resident for over a decade, Heather lives in Highland Park with her husband, David, and pre-school age son, Travis.

The Women and Girls Foundation
Heather is the Executive Director of the
Women and Girls Foundation (WGF), a local non-profit organization with a mission to achieve equity for women and girls in southwest Pennsylvania. Through her leadership, WGF has pursued fair representation for women and people of color on public and corporate boards, articulated the need for fair wages, and received national and international media attention for a youth-led "Girlcott" of Abercrombie & Fitch. The "Girlcott" was a success as the retailer pulled the sexist and racist t-shirts from its stores.
